Don't go to Ravenholm [Location]

Ravenholm in the past was a thriving town at the edges of the Alaskan city Chena, the town was built during the events of World War II and operated as both a very successful fishing community and hub for trade ships to past through. The coastal town contained a population of seventy thousand and at one point in time was one of the most popular towns in the state, however Ravenholm would forever be changed from an event that happened roughly twenty one years ago. A hole through time and space ripped open in a documented event known to some Alaskans as E-Day, various creatures and entities from another reality spilled through a pseudo singularity anchored by the city of Chena but fortunately the city Chena happened to be one of the most advanced and well defended cities in Alaska at the time and coincidentally had a division of U.S soldiers present to fight off the threat.

While the military sect guarded the main metropolitan city of Chena the town Ravenholm as well as several other towns were left undefended, eventually every town except Ravenholm had its inhabitants murdered by creatures during the battle which lasted for a whole week but the residents of Ravenhold suffered a far worst fate than the other towns. A biological infestation of parasites began reproducing from creatures who were using the town residents as a breeding ground for their spawn, the majority of creatures were eliminated by the Chena defense after the city was secured but one of the many strange creatures somehow managed to change the atmosphere of the town with a green fog that had the side effect of ressurecting corpses into undead flesh eating monsters.

The creatures responsible for creating the fog were exterminated to the very last one to halt the expanse of undead and fortunately anything undead attempting to leave the modified environment would 'die' again, as such Ravenholm would be quarantined until one day a method could be create to cleanse what some government officials have called "The Lazarus Fog"

-North Side
The North Side of Ravenholm points towards the City of Chena and most of this territory is controlled by the remains of the Ravenholm Milita, its environment consists of a handful of fortified residential areas with pockets of safe houses and check points placed in between but most importantly is that the North Side is further from the main town and resides with in wooded areas.

The most prominent building in the North Territory is a large semi functional Hospital that also serves as the HQ for the dominant militia faction.

-West Side
The West side of Ravenholm consists almost purely of wooded areas that have overgrown after twenty one years of no interruption, the West side has a handful of residential cabins and some doomsday prepper bunkers.

This area is mostly populated by the creatures of Ravenholm and the faction New Humans who use this area as a 'safe place' to conduct human experiments.

-East Side
The East side consits of the industrial remains of Ravenholm such as its factories and warehouses, it's presently under control of the Jackal Gang faction who have transformed this side of the town into several settlements where illegal activities take place and also where some fugitives of the law flee to hide. Currently the East side serves as the Jackal Gang's staging point to invade the heart of Ravenholm which is the only significant barrier stopping them from taking over the whole town.

-Center Side
The Center of Ravenholm (Or other wise known as heart) is the largest of the four territories and has the heaviest concentration of both undead and otherworldly creatures, this territory is under control of the enigmatic yet few Corrupted who are able to control all the creatures and Lazarus undead in the town.

The Center side consits heavily of stores, workshops, homes and even some police departments. The rumored Headquarters of the Corrupted is said to be a large school where a herd of undead thousands strong wait idley.

-South Side
The South Side of Ravenholm rests at the coastal area where boats and ships used to pass through and still do this day but the only travelers arriving are criminals from across other countries. The South Side is where the Jackals conduct business with crime syndicates to keep their own operations and control over Ravenholm strong, the South Side serves as an illegal trading hub or black market for criminals and is indeed the most heavily fortified and defensive territory of all four.

The Jackal's replenish their losses by monthly recruits that arrive on boat to the docking area, massive amounts of weapons and explosives (In addition to bare necessities) are also imported while the Jackals export drugs and T-Mineral from Ravenholm through the South Territory.

Due to the importance of this area the main base of operations for the Jackals is located in a retrofitted factory that intitally was meant to process sea food caught by local ships, there are an estimated hundred guards defending the outside of the HQ alone.

Image
-Skullcrabs
These are the only interdimensional creatures that survived the purge the U.S Military enacted at the of E-Day. Their name Skullcrabs was dubbed by the surviving residents of Ravenholm who saw these tannish bulbous creatures jump ontop of a people's heads and emplant themselves like a helmet, the creatures would then somehow be able to achieve total control over the victims motor functions and begin attacking anything not of its own kind.

Skullcrabs are relatively easy to kill with either a few pistol rounds or good blow with a melee weapon being the most that is needed however their threat capability is based on their sheer numbers as they tend to travel in packs as well as their ability to hijack a persons nervous system should they be able to land and latch onto a persons head.

Skullcrabs are considered a valuable resource by the Jackals as they are the only creatures capable of reproducing T-Mineral, as such the Jackals have dedicated themselves to capture Skullcrabs unfortunately Skullcrabs immediately die upon exiting the town of Ravenholm presumably due to Earth's environment being inhospitable to their alien organs.

-Skulljacked Walkers
Skulljacked Walkers are living people who have been permanently altered by a Skulljack crab, the victims are aware of the actions they perform yet are unable to do anything but serve the Skullcrab ontop of their head.

Skulljacked Walkers as their name suggests are slow, they hunt their targets at a power walking pace at its fastest to a leisurely walk at its slowest, at the cost of reduced speed the Walkers are extremely resilient to damage to the point it is more advisable to shoot the Skullcrab wrapped on the victims face rather than waste ammo shooting at the odd biology of its victim.

-Skulljacked Sprinters

Skulljacked Sprinters are one of the most dangerous 'creatures' in Ravenholm, like Walkers they are human victims of a Skullcrab but the difference is their hosts have undergone sufficient time with the Skullcrabs to under go a random mutation into a improved version.

Skulljacked Sprinters have all the resilience of a Walker but with the raw strength of a bear and speed of a gazelle, the Sprinters are also intelligent being able to communicate psionically and form plans with others of their kind as well as use stealth effectively.

-Lazarus Undead
The Lazarus Undead are the most commom creatures in Ravenholm, they consist of any previously living mammal
that died. The Lazarus Undead form when ever a previously living entity dies, the fog then genetically alters the dead entity before ressurecting them.

Lazarus Undead currently consists of several thousand humans and hundreds of pets, their resilience makes it so that the only way to effectively kill them is by destroying their whole body or head and just like Sprinters the Undead can move swiftly.

The Lazarus Undead tend to travel in packs and are not intelligent, they respond to vibrations and intense light but can only perceive these stimulations at a distance of fifty meters making it easy to avoid packs via stealth.

-The Twisted
The Twisted are physiologically the second strongest creatures in Ravenholm, unlike the previous entities the Twisted exist primarily due to the actions of the faction 'New Humans' whom experimented on captured Jackal Gangmembers and Ravenholm militia.

The Twisted are former living humans who were injected with special serums then forced to eat the flesh of Lazarus Undead, the process would mutate the human into a subspecies of Lazarus Undead that was far more stronger than even a Skulljack Sprinter.

The Twisted are few in number but are also very dangerous taking up to an entire well equipped firing squad of either Jackal's or Militia to just defeat one Twisted.

Image
The Lazarus fog is a unique gas created from interdimensional creatures that arrived on E-Day, the creatures who produced the gas were all killed but the remaining gaseous substance did not dissipate.

The Lazarus Fog is only visible at night where it covers all of Ravenholm in a soft green mist, living beings are not effected by the Lazarus fog and neither is water or food only dead things are effected by the Lazarus fog.

-Ravenholm Remnant Militia
Image
The R.R.M consists of the Ravenholm residential survivors of E-Day as well as volunteers and vigilantes from across the world who have been sympathetic to their plight. The R.R.M's goal is to exterminate the remaining interdimensional creatures, kick the criminals out of their town and finish off the Corrupted who organize the monsters of Ravenholm.

The R.R.M are the third largest faction in Ravenholm but relies less on numbers and more on the experience they have gathered in the twenty one years they've been attempting to free their town, they have access to a mix of legal military weapons and civilian weapons as well as professional training from all types of instructors that wished to aid their cause.

The R.R.M are only a hostile force towards criminals, they typically operate in four man teams and focus on small skirmishes rather than large all out battles.

-The Corrupted
Image
The Corrupted are metahumans but it is unknown how they became what they are, all that is known is that they were the hostile forces that inflicted the most military casualties during E-Day.

The Corrupted lost to U.S Military and its remaining survivors fled to Ravenholm where they could force a stalemate, using the Lazarus fog to turn the militaries sheer numbers into a double edged sword. Now the few Corrupted that remain hold their ground against the organized Jackal gang while also defeating the R.R.M's hit squads.

-Jackal Gang
Image
When the possible applications of Mineral T came out after Ravenholm was quarantined there was a pseudo gold rush to the Alaskan town, this rush however was only performed by the boldest of organized crime.

The Jackal gang based in Canada would be the organized criminal faction to be the first to set a foot hold on the town, in a difficult operation they cleared and secured both the East Side and South Side of Ravenholm, they used the T-Mineral deposits in those territories to cover the costs of the operation and then some.

Unlike the R.R.M the Jackal Gang focuses on quantity over quality, they operate in groups as large as ten or twenty at of time and often use explosives to deal with large swarms of creatures in Ravenholm.

-The New Humans
Image

The New Humans are psychopaths the worst the world has to offer but unlike the Jackals, the New Humans are the smallest faction in Ravenholm and specialize in stealth and infiltrating the groups of other factions by gaining their trust.

New Humans are here in Ravenholm not to free the town or gain profit, they are there to kill and experiment on other human beings with out having to concern themselves too much about the authorities.

The New Humans often send in single operatives for sabotage and assassination, preferring to engage the other factions indirectly or in underhanded plans.

T-Mineral
Image
T-Mineral is a unique element created only by Skullcrabs, it is a deposit of hardened biological material that sheds off of their skin and changes its atomic structure after some time has passed.

What makes T-Mineral so popular is that when melted doen and refined it becomes a metal as light as aluminium but also more durable than Titanium. Refined T-Mineral is referred to as Titanium R, one inch of Titanium R is the equivelant of twelve inches of normal titanium but Titanium R also has significantly less weight than one inch of normal titanium.

-Chena is off limits only Ravenholm is to be rp'd in here
-No massive destruction allowed but be free to wreck a few houses here and there
-No wiping out all the factions
-No removing or manipulating the Lazarus fog
-Be free to make sub locations and interact with any npcs cept the Corrupted who are to be treated as player characters
-This is like basically post apocalyptic zombie town, the fog prevents it from expanding while also allowing the creatures to repopulate.
-Will likely make some mild edits in the future, just to add better detail or fix grammar errors.

Don't go to New York.

Don't go to L.A.

Don't go to Paris.

Absolutely don't go to Solar City.

Go to Ravenholm.

As far as trains of thought went, it was somewhat lacking, but Tyria felt like she was permitted that indiscretion, given that the train of thought was happening while she was attempting to bait a giant hedgehog our of one of the towns in Japan bordering on the Forest of Obsolescence. The creature had wandered out of the forest, promptly forgotten that the forest existed, and started rampaging through the town. It had eaten three people, a cow, and someone's pet corgi before Tyria had gotten there. She wasn't quite sure how to kill it, but getting it away from people was a must.

Fortunately, it was stupid - or at least, stupid enough that her teleportation skills didn't think it was sentient. It being ambulatory meant she had a little bit of wiggle-room, she just had to get it sort of moving in the right direction. A series of careful strikes got it pointed the right way, and then she teleported in close, booped it on the snout, and pulled it through with her.

Ravenholm resolved around them, and Tyria let the thing go, quickly teleporting herself on top of a building and resisting the urge to pass out, lying back and closing her eyes. Teleporting large things was... a challenge. And not the exciting sort of challenge, either. The hedgehog was snuffling around Ravenholm, sampling the local delicacies. Fortunately, nothing in the city counted as a "person" in Tyria's mind, so if it wanted to binge on a few shamblers while she got a second wind, that was fine.

She'd have liked a nap, but it was a noisy sort of guy, snuffling along and occasionally emitting a pulse of random noise at the upper edge of her hearing limit. "Sonic hedgehogs," she muttered, in the general direction of the sky. "No one is even going to believe that one. It sounds like something out of a video game."

Ravenholm was Angela's home, she was born here, her mother died saving her in this very town. Now Angela D'arc rested with in the confines of a R.R.M 'saferoom', there were only four others individuals here and there job was mostly to keep the place stocked up on supplies for the R.R.M's hit squads that roamed the town assassinating priority targets while also performing hit and run tactics on enemy positions.Image Angela had her Circle of Steel officer uniform and jacket equipped but her booties were off which made her thin black nylon tights more prominent to the people in the room who were giving her some rather interesting looks "Hey, Jack...you said the Jackal gang were going to be moving through here didn't you?" Angela asked a young man dressed in militia clothing who then responded by nodding his head "Yeah they're trying to push up North towards our side, it's why again..we need you Angela"

Angela pulled out her lollipop and wiggled comfortably as she sat on the cold floor "Okay understood, but after this I really need to head back. Dad doesn't exactly enjoy me being here" Angela looked at the ground and sighed And I think I know why as Jack was going to reply to Angela there was a sudden lound thoomp outside the fortified building they were in. A few seconds later a woman contacted Jack through the radio he carried, informing them about a giant creature outside that was killing walkers "Looks like you're up Ang, we don't have anything big enough to take out a creature the size of what Izzy is saying it is" he offered Angela his hand and she accepted it allowing him to assist in pulling her up from the ground. Angela would then pull out a red sphere from her coat pocket and squeeze it, this was the signal the nanomachines needed to break up and form around the conforms of her body, a minute later she was exiting from the rooftop of the building only to then suddenly collapse in pain as the giant hedgehog let out a sound based frequency.

AH FUUCK! Angela's ears throbbed and she felt like they were going to burst apart from the projected sound, it was to such an extent that it even momentarily crippled her sense of balance which was also one of the reasons why she collapsed near instaneously upon hearing it, with the other reason of course being pain. Still Angela would persist once the frequency ended, she pushed herself back up from the ground and cautiously walked to the ledge of the rooftop before unholstering her laser pistol and taking aim at the creature, not even noticing Tyria's presence. Lets see how you like a few bolts that can punch through nine feet of steel she aimed and quickly fired her gun five times towards its head with the bolt coming out of her pistol being one inch in diameter, sure the projectile size was very small in comparison to the creature but Angela was hoping the ELO Pistol's immense penetrative capabilities would be able to do so some serious damage towards its brain.

Shots fired.

Not the bang bang of a regular gun, more like the zap zap of a laser weapon. It didn't matter what the weapon was, what mattered was that someone was apparently deciding that they needed to fight Tyria's monster. She sighed, opening her eyes to the sky above. The whole point of bringing it to Ravenholm was that Ravenholm was filled with mindless shamblers. They were supposed to occupy the hedgehog for a while, so Tyria could get a break in, and then she'd kill it. It had been an excellent plan.

It hadn't involved some idiot deciding to defend a bunch of mindless corpses from the hedgehog. Didn't these people know anything about distraction? She pushed herself to a sitting position, grabbing the blade beside her. All right. I suppose it's adventure time again. Despite her training, Tyria didn't like getting people killed.

Which was why she'd chosen Ravenholm...

Really, all they'd needed to do was stay inside for a while. But no, whoever it was decided they needed to engage the giant rampaging monster - and Tyria was going to feel bad if an actual person got themselves squished into a paste or crunched up like a mealworm. She walked to the edge of the roof, taking stock of her sonic hedgehog. It had some burn marks in its head, but that didn't seem to be slowing it down any. Either its giant brain required an equally giant bullet to put it down, or the thing was just so stupid it didn't matter.

Better go for the spine. She made a few adjustments to her weapon, popping a few slots and elongating the haft, spreading the blades as well - bringing it more into a polearm configuration than a sword, then hopping off the roof, hitting a teleport and dropping herself down over the back of the sonic hedgehog's neck, taking a wedge-shaped chunk of skin and fur out. Not enough to kill it, but a solid hit, and getting that fur out of the way would make it easier for her next strike to sever the spine.

She teleported back to the roof, watching carefully to see what the creature did, and glancing around as well for the gunman who'd ruined all her plans.

The gunman was... a gunwoman. A familiar gunwoman. "You!" she objected, "What are you doing here?"

Angela suspected as much that it wouldn't be so easy to take something that large down in as little as five shots but she hoped it would have been the case since she really wasn't in the mood to spend an hour or more shooting at some non stop. She took a pause and observed the little damage caused but was not intimidated Anything does down eventually to enough quantity as she was prepparing to fire again she stopped when a familiar figure appaeared and began engaging the creature, Angela squinted her eyes recognizing the scent of what she now deemed 'betrayer'. I should shoot her in the fucking leg or shoulder, see if she finds it as funny as when she left me half way across the planet but...no I'm better than that I won't hurt her Angela eased her finger off the trigger off the trigger and took in a slow breath as she contained her anger.

Then the question came not more than a few moments later and Angela's temper got the best of the nephilim, like some Wester action hero she pointed her gunhand at Tyria's direction in a near instant and let loose one red bolt towards the teleporter yet despite the vast distance between them the pink haired gunwoman was pretty accurate in her attempt to zap the hair on Tyria's head, the bolt was supposed to be a graze and shave a very miniscule amount of hair off or atleast pass by close enough for Tyria to feel the air next to her sizzle from the intense heat of the energy projectile. Warning shot, bitch Angela's first reply as an attack meant to warn then her second was a verbal response as she holstered her pistol and drew an imaginary line infront of herself with her right foot in a slow and sensual manner "I'm defending my territory" Angela's eyes flashed with an intense red like a glowing pair of rubies, she placed her right hand on her hip in a assured manner that came off very femme fatale before using her left hand to brush through her strands of pink hair.
Image
Angela dragged her left hand passed her hair all the way down to her mouth as she revealed a small fraction of her wolfish teeth then partially stuck her tongue out in a voluptous manner, now with her left hand's index and middle finger she would obtain a small amount of saliva from her tongue and rub it between her two fingers.

My building, my street Angela didn't care what Tyria thought of her, here in Ravenholm this was her town and anyone who tried to get in her way was open season and she was making her point now infront of this woman.

Naturally, Tyria's perfectly reasonable inquiry resulted in the woman she'd been trying to help pulling a gun out and trying to shoot her. She flickered as soon as the woman's finger moved on the trigger, better safe than sorry. Apparently that would have been a warning shot, but Tyria hadn't been taking chances. She reappeared on the other side. "Your territory?" she asked, indignantly, "Your territory is full of mindless shambling zombies - that's the whole reason I brought the monster here, because there's no people for it to eat, so it can do its thing while I figure out how to take it down permanently!"

The hedgehog, however, did not seem to care overmuch about their argument, and cared much more about the fact that it had been shot and sliced, which must have been quite unpleasant. It started keening again, a high pitched whine that annoyed even Tyria, and turned its bulk towards the rooftop where the women were talking, shambling angrily in their direction. "I ought to just leave and hope you take each other out," she muttered, but of course she wasn't going to do that.

It was her monster, after all. She gripped her blade, half-crouched, and waited for it to come in close.

Angela curled her hands into fists upon hearing Tyria's opinion of this town and the assumption that all that was left were the undead, it struck a nerve and Angela retorted back "Well guess what smartass there are still people in this town too!" she stomped her foot on the roof top once then pointed at it with her index finger to gesture people were inside the building. You brought the dam monster here, couldn't you have brought it to the top of a mountain or something? Ugh! Angela unholstered her pistol then switched focus away from Tyria and back to the creature.

Maximum strength mode activate Angela's red armor bulged up as the nanomachines began to operate at peak power, the nephilim sprinted across the rooftop and jumped off of it with speed rivaling that of an arrow launched by a crossbow. Angela opened fire shooting the Hedgehog several times again in the head before she landed with enough force to crack the pavement, she followed up this action with using her enhanced speed to quickly circle around the Hedgehog but as she was doing this it let out another sonic sound.

Angela tripped and crashed into the disabled wreck of a derelict taxi. "AHHHHHHHHGH!" she yelled out in pain while placing both her hands by her ears in a vain attempt to block out the sound, her vision became blurry and her sense of balance was completely gone. Like a crippled person Angela remained incapacitated by the vehicle unable to push herself up, her muscles were functioning but her mind was overwhelmed so it was for all intents and purposes paralyzed from sensory overload.

You're not a person, you're a- oh, for fuck's sake. The retort died unspoken as whatever-her-real-name-was charged off towards the monster. Well, at least she was useful as bait... even if that was generally Tyria's job. Tyria figured she'd let the girl-shaped-monster get a few hits in on the hedgehog-shaped-monster, and then move in to take a few calculated critical strikes as they presented themselves.

Like most plans, that one didn't survive first contact... or even any contact. GirlMonster's strafing circle ended abruptly, with her screaming with her hands over her ears. What? It wasn't even that loud, Tyria thought to herself, with a slight frown, which changed to a grin. Oh, my. So, we do have a weakness, after all. That was exciting. Good to know, for the future. The more distant future, anyway. The more immediate future involved a large amount of HedgehogMonster shambling its way towards Tyria unstopped. It didn't move that quickly, but anything that large moved itself fairly fast by default. That didn't matter, if one could teleport, but it was exactly the reason Tyria hadn't just dropped it on a mountaintop - it would have moved off the mountaintop, and she'd have had to keep up with it, rather than sitting down while it munched a few mindless bodies.

At least, that had been the plan. Now it had gotten itself all bothered, because someone thought she had to interfere.

Well, GirlMonster seemed down for a while, so Tyria figured she'd just have to take out HedgehogMonster more quickly than planned. Some of the people in the building might actually be people, after all - Tyria wasn't betting on it, but she didn't have time to find out - and letting the beast crash into the building wasn't going to work either. She gave a sigh of disgust, then hopped off the roof, teleporting herself to the ground before she hit it, slightly off to one side of the hedgehog, so she'd be in its field of view.

"Hey. Yeah, that's right. Come on, you." She backed away, slowly, letting herself attract its attention. It was smart enough to see her as more of a threat than the shamblers. Tyria swung her weapon like a scythe, clearing a swath through the ones that had gotten a little too close to her for her comfort. The bodies fell, and she teleported past them before they could get up again, if they were going to do that. Not too far, though - she didn't want the hedgehog getting distracted. "Still here," she told it, cheerfully, luring it farther from the apparently occupied building. If that happened to be leading it a little towards the monster in the taxi... eh...

Damn. Tyria wanted to be nonchalant about that, but the truth was, GirlMonster was kind of fun. She had spunk. She deserved a better end than being eaten by a giant sonic hedgehog while stunned. She teleported back behind the taxi, and put a hand on GirlMonster's shoulder.

No dice.

Of course not. "If you can bring yourself to trust me for a couple seconds, I can put you back on the roof," Tyria offered considerately. "Offer ends in five... Four... three...

When the specific frequency of sound waves stopped generating Angela finally got the moments she needed to recover from her daze, My healing factor, it's speeding my recovery but there's actually little damage being done to me. I'm not recovering from the disorienting effect as fast as I would from an injury because my senses are just being overwhelmed not damaged Angela was starting to push herself up when Tyria appeared beside her and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Get off of me!" Angela let loose a growl reminiscent of a canine before backing a meter away from Tyria and into a defensive position but there was no genuine aggresion in Angela's face not really instead she was giving the face someone one give upon getting betrayed you think this is some sort of joke, add insult to injury now? Angela scrunched her face and furrowed her brows "You're not going to leave me half way across the globe again" Figures she'd abuse my trust again to get rid of me quickly Angela backed away from Tyria some more almost stumbling as she did "I can't trust some who'll stab me in the back as soon as they get the opportunity" Angela before finally turning away from the hunter gave a mortified face towards Tyria to sell the point that what Tyria did to her before still had a negative effect on Angela now.

I don't need her help, I can do this on my own I just have to push harder than I've wanted to Angela began quickly pacing towards the Giant hedgehog as when what appeared to be a clear bubble of water began to generate from her left palm, this bubble however wasn't water but rather a small temporal bubble manifesting from Angela's body. lets see how slowing you down to a hundredth of your current speed works! like an expert baseball pitcher she tossed the temporal bubble towards the creature to which upon getting close would suddenly expand into a large dome roughly one hundred meters in diameter, this dome for those outside of its radius would see it as a blurry dome of glass while those inside would see the environment being brighter as if it was being lit by a series of miniature stars. My realm now, my rules Angela felt a cramp on her side as she used her time power but it was worth it since here in theory she had almost total control over the flow of time as long as it was with in the domes radius and she also had the option to control who did and didn't get effected by her abilities but for now she was attempting to slow down everything with in the dome down to one hundredth of its current physical speed yet she was not aware if anything or anyone might be resistant to her time powers.

Now with presumably her speed advantage she manipulated her time to enhance her speed even further, she dashed to the front of the Hedgehog and unloaded forty energy bolts under the time span of one literal second at point blank range towards the Hedgehogs skull, she then stopped as her pistol overheated then backed away while the temporal bubble's slow effect still lasted "gah" Angela felt and heard her rib break for a moment before it healed quickly back into place You can take it, healing factor is still strong Angela used her temporal power once more to reset the cool down and ammo capacity of her pistol before preparing to unleash a second barrage of forty bolts at point blank How many fucking bolts to kill this thing, eighty, one hundred and sixty...a thousand!?!

So much for offering to help. Tyria retracted her hand, and wondered why she was upset by the rejection. After all, she still planned to kill the monster girl later - it shouldn't matter in the slightest if she didn't want Tyria's help right now. Really, it just confirmed what Tyria had already known - that this monster was intelligent.

Dammit anyway. She looked after the girl - monster - for a moment as she got up and tossed a small ball of... something. The ball expanded into a bubble, catching Tyria within its borders. She looked around, curiously. I wonder what it does? The hedgehog moved... slowly. Almost infinitesimally. A slowing sphere? Clever. Tyria had not expected that particular bit in the other woman's arsenal. She flexed her hand - it didn't seem to affect her. Was that because of what she was, or was it simply not targeting her? Hard to tell.

The girl... monster girl... moved, quickly this time, towards the hedgehog. She has some sort of speed control ability. Interesting. Tyria could have moved to help her, but that would have given away her immunity to the bubble, if the monster hadn't noticed already.

That, and she'd already made it very clear that she didn't want Tyria's help. Tyria winced in tandem with the girl at the crack of something, but she seemed to be able to keep going, unloading her weapon into the monster. Tyria watched, and waited. It would probably go down, eventually.

And if the monster really wanted help, she could ask for it.
